Adelphi Benrinnes 2009 - 14 years old

This single malt whisky was distilled at the Benrinnes Distillery in 2009 - 2 years after they abandoned the partial triple distillation process and adopted double distillation.  It was filled in a single Refill Sherry Hogshead and left there to mature for 14 years. In 2023, it was bottled at 54.6% abv by Adelphi. Wonderful dried fruits and buttery biscuits, some red berry notes on the nose, followed by a typical floral taste with hints of chocolate and oaky spiciness. Ends with a very looooong and fruity finish with some herbal warmth. An exquisite release with balanced maturation.
